WEBSITE TRAFFIC IS ESSENTIAL TO YOUR ONLINE BUSINESS
Without traffic you are not able to generate leads, customers, clients, sales to monetize your business. Whether you are sending your audience to a blog post, a landing page or a sales page…the lead generating process begins at being able to send the right kind of traffic to your site to consume your content and respond to your call to action. This can be joining your mailing, downloading your free guide, purchasing your newest course or product or joining your challenge.
But driving traffic to a website is the most common obstacle amongst many new home-based entrepreneurs. They embark on working with paid methods but they struggle with Facebook ads, Google PPC and other forms of methods. Many of you have probably misspent a lot of money trying to get it right. I know I have.
So what can you do to drive traffic when working on a small maybe even nonexistent budget? You can send organic (free) target to your site.
Here is what you can do to start driving traffic to your website

#1 Undertand SEO. First and foremost, you’ve got to optimize your website if you want to generate a healthy and consistent volume of free traffic everyday. Yes, it’s a bit lengthy but it does a great job and breaking SEO down into bite-sized chunks.
#2 Optimize, Optimize, Optimize. If you’re on WordPress grab the free plug in that I use to make sure that my pages and posts are optimized, Yoast SEO . This tool is simply a must. Available is also a premium version of this plugging giving you even more features to optimize your posts and pages such as using long term keywords.
#3 Keywords. Understand keywords and how they do all the driving. Without the right keywords, you’re not going to be found by search engines when they are retrieving results for search queries and as a result, your target audience will ever consume your content.
#4 Plan Things Out. It’s all about creating content that your audience will be searching for using the keywords you’re readers are searching. Use a spreadsheet to help you keep your content organized. What keywords will you optimize? Title? Use the tools available to you to do a bit of keyword research when creating and planning content. You may find that a certain word you think is just a great topic idea hardly gets any search volume. But a variation of it a different term gets substantially higher volume. These are the words you want to optimize in your content.

Now that you’ve got an optimized page and blog post, you want to give your page views a bump to help your rankings.
Share your post on all your social media pages and send an email out to your list of subscribers letting them know you’ve just created a new piece of content you think they’d get tremendous value from.
Promote your post to your Facebook fan page audience and boost it to give it a bit of extra exposure.
